Rizal College of Laguna Educational Tour

The Rizal College of Laguna held an educational trip last March 2, 2012. The aim of this trip is to provide new knowledge to the students and also to have projectors in school.

At 7 o’clock in the morning, we went to our first destination, the Gardenia Philippines which is located in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. We observed the actual making of bread by the machines. It is really amazing that these machines can make 600 000 breads in one day and it doubles during the months of November, December, January and February.

After we witness the making of bread, we continued in our second destination, the U.P. Ayala Land (techno hub), where the buildings are constructed not just for commercials. Each part has good purposes such as helping to prevent global warming in our country. The road is not designed for vehicles only, it also helps to relieve the heat and absorb the water when it rains to prevent flood.

Next was the Bluewave Petron where we ate our lunch and rested. Then, we toward to National Museum. Various tools and equipments used by our ancestors in different periods are located there. It is interesting that they continue preserving and keeping alive the history of the Philippines.

In Central Bank of the Philippines, they showed us the process in making bills and coins by watching in flat screen television. Processes that will lead not merely to someone who is not expert in that kind of field. I also saw the first one hundred thousand bill, which is commensurate to a long bond paper, and the unissued two hundred thousand bill.

After the Central Bank is the Light and Sound Museum located in Intramuros, Manila. The lighting and sound gives life to the exhibit with explanations and information.

Our last destination is Luneta Park, which is also called as Bagumbayan. The statue of our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, is in Luneta Park. We also saw the Dancing Fountain here which many people loved to see because of the water which is dancing because of the music.

In all, I enjoyed this educational trip. I learned new information about each place we visited.
